Changes and Procrastination

There's something about blogger that I just don't like anymore. I guess since I've been using it for almost a year now, I've grown tired of. I'm working on switching over to tumblr. The url will most likely be http://www.youraverageawesomeperson.tumblr.com

I'll still use blogspot every now and then...or maybe not. It depends on how it works out. Just letting you all know.

Anyway, I should be writing the rough draft for my research paper on Zeno's paradoxes. It actually is very interesting. I just wanted to tell you, internet, that I'm moving to tumblr. I also wanted to procrastinate. Mission accomplished.

Blanket Forts

What up interwebz?

Last week, despite it being exam week, was actually a very good week. I had Monday and Friday off so I only had 3 days of school. On Tuesday I had an English exam at 8 and then a Math exam at 10 and then I got to go home and study for my exams on Wednesday. I got to sleep in that day because my History exam wasn't until 10 and then my Latin exam was at 12, so that was fun. I enjoyed the sleep. Then on Thursday I had my Biology exam, where I used a quote from the lion king in my essay, at 8 and then my Apologetics exam at 10 and then I got to go home.

However, before I went home on Thursday, my friend handed my a light saber. We proceeded to run around the halls and have an epic battle until we got yelled at by a teacher. It was fun while it lasted, and I'm totally going to duel with my friend again tomorrow.

I looked up my grades on the school's website and for the second quarter and got all A's! That's pretty awesome. Not all the teacher's have posted the 1st semester grades, but so far, in the classes that have the grades posted, I have A's. I's gots de smartzz.

Yesterday my friend Jessica came over. She wanted me to teach her some stuff on guitar so she, Alex, and I had about a 3 hour jam session in my room. This was followed by eating Pokemon Mac&Cheese and then watching movies. We started out with The Lion King, then Pocahontas, then Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging, and then Wild Child. The last two movies were British and I ended up speaking in a near perfect London accent while watching them. I've never been able to do good accents, so had I no idea why I ended up speaking in such a great accent. It was sweet...and weird.

After Jessica left, I still felt like watching Disney movies so I watched The Lion King 2 and Mulan. I was kind of movied out after that so I decided to do what any 15 year old girl would do on a weekend: Build a blanket fort in my room. I'm currently typing this blog in my blanket fort, where I plan to sleep tonight. I have enjoyed this week very much. My life is good.

My West Side Story Moment.

I love musicals. I, like a lot of people, wish my life was a musical. The other day I had a really awesome musical moment with some of my friends. A couple of my friends and I have to stay at school for about an hour after school actually ends because our parents aren't out of work yet. We use this time to socialize or do something fun normally, instead of doing our homework like responsible kids. Anyway, one day we were walking down a hallway I was trying to snap my fingers, which I fail at doing. I suddenly got it and was on a roll when I turned to my friends Jackie and Nicole and my sister, Alex and proclaimed, "GUYS! WEST SIDE STORY!" Jackie and I ran to the other end of the hallway and started walking and snapping towards Alex and Nicole as they were walking and snapping towards us. IT WAS AWESOME. I love my friends :)

This is going to be the end of the blog as I need to go to sleep and then wake up tomorrow and study for exams which are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Also, I figured out that this year is technically my O.W.L. year, so I'm going to be referring to my exams as O.W.L.s for the next week. I rule.

See you later bloggity blog blog!

Doctor Who and School

I'm not one to talk about New Years that much and other holidays, so this blog won't have much to do on that topic. Although, my birthday this year is 11/10/10 which is all BINARY! I'm way more excited about that than I probably should be.

Now, onto Doctor Who. Oh my gosh. The End Of Time part 2 was great and so sad and I cried so much. I'm going to miss David as the Doctor, but I think Matt Smith will do well. I just hope he doesn't say "Geronimo" a lot. Anyway, I can't believe that it was Wilf who caused the Doctor to regenerate!! I was SURE it would be the Master, I was SO SURE. But it was Wilf. I found that quite shocking. And the look of pain and agony on the Doctor's face when he absorbed all the radiation was just so sad. It was nice that he got to see all of his companions before he regenerated. When they saw him it seemed like they all knew that he was going to regenerate. All except Rose, because he traveled back to before they even met. Oh and Martha with Mickey? I never saw that coming, but I guess it works. AND THE CACTUS PEOPLE!!! I loved the cactus people! they were so awesome!

I have to go get ready to go to school tomorrow. UGH. First day back from Christmas vacation. Usually by this time I WANT to go back to school because I'm sick of being stuck at home, but I really don't want to go back to school tomorrow. Maybe it's the fact that this week is going to be really horrible because I have a history test on wednesday and I need an A on it to keep my second quarter grade an A. And maybe it's because semester exams are in two weeks and i've probably forgotten everything I've learned. I just want summer to come. Sigh. Alright, bye.

Weird Dreams.

I've been having some weird dreams lately. I'm going to share some I remember because they're quite interesting.

Over the weekend I dreamt that Ben Folds came and played a show at my school. Pretty much no one knows who Ben Folds is, so the school as a whole didn't really care much, but I was freaking out because I love him! Anyway, attendance was mandatory, so the whole school was there. After he played a few songs, Ben asked if anyone knew any of his songs or had a request. I eagerly raised my hand, and no one else did. So he called me on stage and we sang one of his songs. It was EPIC. And I hugged him. I really hope that would someday happen, because that was an awesome dream. Onto the next one.

I was at a slumber party with a couple of my friends. We decided we wanted ice cream. We went to get the ice cream at an ice cream shop. It was like an ice cream restaurant where there were tables and chairs and waiters and menus and things of that sort, except ice cream was the only thing on the menu. As the waiter was leading us back to our table I walked past Jim, Dwight, and Ryan from The Office and instead of stopping and asking for their autographs or doing anything like that, I said, "HI FIVE JIM! HI FIVE DWIGHT! HI FIVE RYAN!" and continued walking. THAT was weird. I hope that happens too.

Last night I had ANOTHER weird dream. I was in school and suddenly the headmaster pulls me out of class. He said, "You play guitar right?" To which I replied, "Yes..."
then he said, "I want you to play American Pie over the loud speaker today." I had no idea why he asked that, I just ended up playing that for the whole school over the loud speaker. Not sure if I want this one to come true...It'd be too weird.

Ok, wow. I didn't know it had been over 2 months.

I've been doing lots of things over the past two months, which is why I haven't been blogging or reading blogs. I know that's a horrible reason, but today I will write a blog and catch up on reading everyone else's blogs. BLOG BLOG BLOG. I'll just jump right into it then.

Nothing interesting really happened in October. On Halloween I went to my friend Jessica's house and we saw Where the Wild Things are and our only reaction to it was, "Wow...What?...That was weird..." She isn't allowed to go trick or treating or do anything of that sort on halloween, and my other friends were having a huge party and were going to watch scary movies. I'm not that great in scary movies, so Jessica and I decided we'd hang out on halloween. It was fun. How weird is it that I'm writing about Halloween in DECEMBER?

November was NaNoWriMo and apparently it was also give-as-many-tests-and-quizzes-and-projects-as-you-possibly-can-so-students-cannot-have-a-social-life-or-attempt-to-write-a-novel month to the teachers. I started the novel out great in the first week, despite changing my entire story line the day before November. However, the second week was filled with tests along with the third week, so I had no time to write. By the fourth week I was so far behind and disconnected from my novel that I didn't even know where it was going, so I just gave up. Thanksgiving was quite mundane. We went to our cousin's house in coral springs and ate then left. Same food, same everything.

At the end of November, my Uncle Baz and Auntie Lynn came down from England. It was so awesome to see them because the last time I saw them was about three years ago. A couple of my friends met them and my friends were in awe that they were meeting REAL british people with ACCENTS. It was quite funny.

That brings us to December. In the first week our school put on this english medieval feast and show that combined drama, orchestra, and the choir, called Madrigal. My Aunt and Uncle came, and they enjoyed it. The room where we, the orchestra, played had horrible acoustics, so we probably sounded awful. And I, being the awesome cellist I am, was last chair. Apparently no one could see me, which I found quite funny. After the orchestra played, which was fairly early on, we could leave. Since my family was eating at the madrigal thing, they had to stay the whole time, and since Alex was a mime, she had to preform the whole time. So I ordered a pizza and shared it with some of my dorkestra friends. Then we had to do all that the next night, and then we were done.

Fast forward a couple days, and my aunt and uncle eventually had to fly back to Evesham, which was really sad. I miss them, but hopefully Alex and I get to go to England in the near future to see the rest of the family.

Last weekend, I think it was last weekend, I got a new guitar. I've played for about 3 years, and my old one needed to get fixed. My mom decided she would get my a new one for Christmas and we'd fix my old one and give it to Alex, because she just recently expressed an interest in playing. "Why did your mom give it to you last week when you said she was getting it as a Christmas present?" you ask. Well, my mom didn't know which one to get me, and she wanted to make sure she got the right stuff for it, so I went to Sam Ash with her and we picked one out. It's a black acoustic-electric Ibanez AEG10E. It's pretty awesome.

I think that about covers everything worth mentioning. I'm really sorry for being away for so incredibly long. Now I'm going to catch up reading everyone else's blogs.

DFTBA! (like I did for the past two months)

Bones (the television show) is like a Cell apparently

I've been M.I.A. from this blog for awhile. Sorry about that! So, here is the obligatory catch-up blog post.

Last week I saw The Whomping Willows and Justin Finch-Fletchly in concert. That was really awesome! Matt (The Whomping Willow) and Justin were really cool people and I got two CDs, two pins, and a kazoo, so that was pretty sweet.

That's about the only interesting thing that happened last week. So I'll just move on to what happened this week.

I woke up Monday thinking that the day would be horrible because 1. it was one of the days where I have the classes I don't like and 2. it was a Monday. However, I rolled over in my bed, and grabbed my phone to check to see if I had any twitter updates or texts and my awesome friend LyTysha texted me saying "Happy Monday". That made me feel better about the day, and I ended up having a rather awesome Monday.

I don't really remember much about Tuesday, so I'll move onto Wednesday. Wednesday, along with almost every other high school in the country, we took the PSATs. It was relatively easy, and I think I did pretty well on it. I was in a good mood for some reason for the rest of the day, so it was a good day.

Onto Thursday. I had a math test which I totally aced, and that's about the only noteworthy thing about school that day. It was a good day, but then I got horrible news about the show Bones. If you don't know what Bones is, it's a show about a forensic anthropologist helping the FBI solve murders. Anyway, there aren't going to be any new episodes until NOVEMBER because of stupid baseball! It's horrible!

Oh, speaking of Bones (the show), I have to do a science project where I compare Bones (the show) to a cell. We had a choice between doing a Cell Simile (which is what I'm doing), a research paper about a biologist, or writing a story using a Cell as the setting. I, being somewhat indecisive, could not choose one at all. I didn't original want to do the simile, I had actually convinced myself to do anything BUT the simile. But then I asked my teacher what I should do, and she said compare it to Bones (because she knows I love that show). So, now for my project I get to watch episodes of Bones to find out who is like what part of a cell. That's pretty fun.

Friday, I was reminded why I took Orchestra (or dorkestra as most of us call it). Usually after a concert the teacher brings in donuts or something. We had a concert on Monday, but didn't have class Wednesday because of the PSATs. So Friday he brought in bagels and coffee from Dunkin' Donuts. It was awesome. We spent half the class (about 45 minutes) eating bagels, drinking coffee, and doing nothing. My friend Joy wanted me to make her coffee. She said she never really liked coffee, and I told her I could get her to like it. So, I made her coffee and she LOVED it! I felt accomplished.

Fast forward to last night. Normal people usually go out and do something on a Friday night, but I did not. Instead, I stayed home and watched Much Ado About Nothing. It was so good! I loved it. I might watch it again today.

Anyway, I think that about covers everything. I haven't talked to Maddy and Alex for awhile. I miss you guys!
