All right, I'm starting to get out of the blogging mood lately. This problem needs to be rectified. I need to blog more. I love blogging. It's a way to get me to write, which I love. All right, on to HARRY POTTER.
So, most people know that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came out in theaters July 15. I am proud to say I saw it at midnight! I saw it again today with my mom, and she loved it. I loved it too. Sure, it was missing a bunch of stuff, but I've accepted the fact that movies change from the books.
The Felix scene was HYSTERICAL! And, since I love Doctor Who, I loved Tom Riddle saying, "You're the Doctor, aren't you?" I don't know what they're going to do in deathly hallows, considering all the horcruxes weren't shown, and the Elder Wand was just...there. Did anyone else want Harry to just break down and cry and hug Professor McGonagall at the end when he was in Dumbledore's office? I thought that would have been nice. I love McGonagall. There should have been more Lupin, Tonks, and Neville though.
I didn't cry the first time when Dumbledore died. I just kinda laughed at it. When you read that part in the book, you've reached a point where you admire Dumbledore for his kindness, acting like a father figure to Harry, and just being funny sometimes. The movies haven't really portrayed that part of Dumbledore, so it wasn't that sad the first time. I didn't feel like the movie showed Dumbledore dying, just someone a bit similiar to Dumbledore. It wasn't the same.
The second time, however, I did cry. I thought it was sad that Harry had lost yet another person so close to him. Someone who had always been there for him. The movies sort of portrayed that, but not the same way as the books. Still, I found it a lot more sad the second time.
As a movie alone, I loved it. As a movie that was made to follow the book, I liked it.
I'll post a blog about other stuff soon. Just wanted to type this up before I forget the details.

A veritable plethora of topics rolled into one blog
Oh my. It has been SO long since my last blog, it's just insane. I haven't really been in the mood to blog, and I don't really have a good excuse. Sorry about that. This blog will probably be long because I'll have to cover all the important moments in my life that happened since my last blog. Haha.
Should I start off talking about summer school? I think I will. It's been awhile since I talked about summer school (well, it's been a while since I talked about anything on here). Anyway, up until today it was all fun and fine and everything, but the teacher just woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something today. He wasn't in a very happy mood like he usually is. We usually get to watch Numb3rs, which is a CSI type show where they solve crimes using mathematical equations, but we didn't get to today. I was sad because I LOVE that show. I've learned a lot from the 4 weeks I've been taking geometry, but I'm starting to get sick of it. It's just so much work to learn a year of a class in five weeks over the summer. I don't really want to take summer school ever again.
Now onto the topic of camp. Just when the kids were starting to like me, the head had to switch a bunch of C.I.T.s around because a lot quit (I don't blame them). There's nothing wrong with my new group, I just prefer my other one. Also, some of the counselors just sit around and do NOTHING, while the C.I.T.s are forced to do EVERYTHING. Who gets payed? The people sitting around doing nothing. Who doesn't? The people who actually WORK. It's really annoying. They take complete advantage of most of the C.I.T.s, while they just sit around. Of course, not all the counselors are like that, just most. It's really annoying, and I'm getting sick of it. The camp is divided into two "sessions",like, semesters. The first ends this week, I think. I'm trying to get out of working the second session. We'll see how it goes.
Two weekends my mom (who's birthday is today!), my sister, and I got to go to Orlando to see Pottercast, The Whomping Willows, and The Remus Lupins. The drive was fun, besides all the rain. We listened to a lot of Beatles cds due to our extreme lack of wizard rock cds. Still, you can't go wrong with The Beatles! When we got to our hotel we quickly got dressed (Alex and I in our house ties, and our mom brought her Snitch purse). Then we ate at Cracker Barrel and drove to the Orlando Public Library. Yes, the concert was in a library. A REALLY AWESOME library. Needless to say, the concert was epic, and I hugged Frack from pottercast and Matt Maggiacomo who is The Whomping Willows! After the concert everyone scurried off to the merch outside. I got a green shirt from The Remus Lupins that says "MAKE LOVE, NOT HORCRUXES" and a red tote from The Whomping Willows that says "THE WHOMPING WILLOW ALMOST KILLED ME" and a bunch of cds. After the epicness of the concert, we went back to our hotel room, afraid that sleep would wipe away all our memories.
Alex and I are getting our bedrooms redone because it's been a looooooooonnnnngggg time, and our mom thought it would be a nice graduation present (even though I don't think 8th grade graduations deserve a bunch of presents). The rooms are pretty much finished right now. I think I just need to hang my Harry Potter poster that I got yesterday at Wall-Mart. They only had one Harry Potter poster, and Alex was nice enough to let me have it, so she got a Star Trek poster. She is IN LOVE with Spock. Anyway, my room is really spiffy now.
Half-blood Prince comes out in 8 days! I'm trying to figure out when I can see it, and who I can see it with. I will definitly see it with LyTysha! I'm sure I speak for everyone, if not most, when I say that this has been the most anticipated film. The pushing back of it angered a LOT of people! The trailers and everything look SO GOOD. I stopped watching trailers and t.v. spots and full scenes a week or two ago because I decided I want to see the whole movie and not be super dissappointed because I saw all the trailers and stuff before. It would ruin it.
I'm debating whether or not I should talk about Michael Jackson. I guess I will. His death effected a lot of people. He was very talent, and I liked his music. I wasn't the world's biggest fan or anything. I just listened to it and liked it. When the news of his death hit, I didn't really fell sad. I knew I should, because anyone's death is one we should mourn, but I just wasn't. Not sure what else I should say to elaborate on the subject more. Think I'm done there.
If I left anything out, sorry. This was a lot! I'll be surprised if you make it all the way through.
