This pretty much made my day. I don't even know the kids name, and he drew me a picture! I was so happy.
The reason I said I didn't think the kids were too fond of me was because the other counselor got hugs from all the kids, and the kids would ask to play with them and everything. Also, twice I almost/actually did (not sure which) reduced two girls to tears. Not intentionally.
There is this small bounce house that is set up in the gym and only two people are allowed on at a time. When I was on "bounce house duty" this one girl wanted to go with two of her friends, and I told her only two could go on at a time. Well, what do little kids do when they normally don't get what they want? Start to cry. So, I let them on because I hate it when small children start crying (especially if I caused it).
The second time was when a girl came up to me and asked, "Do you remember me?" I really had no idea who she was so I said that I didn't. She looked crushed, and seemed on the verge of tears, and just walked away. I felt really bad even though I'm pretty sure I'd never seen her.
Those have been my C.I.T. experiences so far. Did I mention I don't get paid? I only get service hours. sigh.

i really do love your blog. I love how i'm on skype with you at the moment. xD
I LOVE THE PICTURE!! And honestly, that's how I have always felt at camp. Even to this day, I feel like the "least favorite" counselor out of all of them. I really don't know why either. The kids just never come up and hug me or even ask me to play with them. Maybe, i'm a bad counselor...lol
Eek, that sucks. Children... *shudders*
Lol, no I love them, they're just very hard to deal with.
Good luck with that!
